Sometimes we need someone to talk to, someone who will listen, and offer support without judgement, and sometimes we need someone to help us find a way out, when we can not see one ourselves.
I offer an initial assessment session, which is free. We use this time to explore what we might accomplish together, for you to ask questions about the therapy and to decide if you can work with me. We will discuss your focus or aims, should you decide to continue with personal therapy. All our discussions will be held in strictest confidence.
Psychotherapy covers a wide range of issues, from specific mental health problems through to essential personal development. If you are undecided as to whether this is for you why not call for a confidential chat, and book in for your free initial assessment before you decide to take things forward.
This service is offered for private individuals and as in house support for schools and businesses.
Aside from treatment and recovery from specific mental health problems, traumas and problems such as anxiety and depression; Psychotherapy is a space for you to explore the ways in which you limit yourself, your choices, your interactions. We will examinwe ways in which you restrict yourself in order that you may experience a fuller more contactful life. It is a talking therapy, though we do not ignore the physical.
I use a mixture of psychotherapy, experimentation, dream work and mindfulness to help find a you more confident and content. I work with a wide range of issues, here are just a few of the many things we cover highlighted below:
Well being and contentment
Becoming more assertive
Understanding difficult emotions and reactions
Grief and loss
Heightened personal awareness
The cost of Therapy is usually £45 per session. sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise specified. There are a few concessionary places available for people on a low wage, benefits or pension, other concessions may be available on request. This may be a reduction in cost or a number of free sessions. Subject to availability and duration.
I have much experience of working with psychosis, and welcome people who would often be turned away from traditional talking therapies. This is not something we take on lightly, but will do so in combination with other care plan measures, this is always as part of existing support teams.
I run a personal development group which is a therapeutic group meeting monthly. During the covid crisis this group has been shelved, mostly due to lack of space, but also because the limit of 2m distance is harder to maintain. If you are interesed please contact me and as soon as I am able to run one again I will contact you.email for more details.
To book an initial consultation, or to ask any questions you might have please contact me on 07724 186 672
I will not answer the phone if I am with a client, but I will call you back just as soon as I possibly can. Alternatively you can email me via firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
