Any counsellor, therapist or trainee counsellor looking to increase knowledge and expand their professional expertise.
Is truth important? If a client tells you lies what are they really saying? About themselves, about what they wish to be? And what of fantasy? When a clients life seems based on fantasy how do we work with them? indeed what is fantasy? what is truth? In this training we look at fantasy of all types in the therapy room. We will explore our own guiding fictions, and roles, how we interact with clients when dealing with fantasy or lies.
This training will be experiential, using some explanation and discussion as well as exercises and safe emergency to explore aspects of fantasy, its construction and its meaning for the dreamer.
